After learning together for three consecutive semesters, we have finally reached the last semester with this very wonderful and inspiring class. The class activity today is about nominating and selecting the final group of committees for the class. Being part of the class is indeed interesting because I have the opportunity to learn and grow with different amazing speakers that excel in diverse ways of public speaking. Credits to Madam Noor for educating us and guiding us along the way, I can still remember the times when madam talked with us to solve our obstacles in public speaking. Despite having only four semesters to learn together, I believe that we will be meeting each other again in the future, on stage or within audience seats!

The lecture today is about persuasive speech. After watching the videos from Madam Noor, i learnt that persuasive speaking is about convincing a single person or group or person to believe in our values and statements. The way to it is by altering their way of thinking, acting, and behaving towards our ideas, we convince them and change their thoughts. Besides, we have also learnt about the format of persuasive speech writing. Upon brainstorming the topic that we want to talk about, we should start drafting our introduction, let's not forget to make it as interesting as possible to hook the attention of our audiences. Next, the main contents should emphasis on what we want to solve and how to make it as clear as possible so the audience can "see" what we are portraying in the speech. Finally, sum up the speech by recapping our contents and connect them to whoever is listening.
Last but not least, we have also registered our speech topics and started to prepare our very last speech in the class.

On the first day of our on-campus online session, we split into groups and read an essay about "Types of Persuasive Speaking" tailored to our group. Under the direction of a mentor, we dissect the critical points made by the writers and select one group member to speak on their behalf. The three types of persuasive presentations we learned about at this seminar were factual, value and policy propositions. Ms. responds to each group in real-time via the chat box once they've finished speaking. Finally, we reconvened in the breakout room to debate and dissect Indonesian President Joko Widodo's address. We examine every aspect of Joko Widodo's speech, including his delivery, the audience, the time, the setting, the speaker's intent, and the overall effect on the listeners. When Joko Widodo gave his speech, we learned how to give a powerful speech from it.

We received two videos and two articles as normal after we took our attendance. The objective of persuasive communication is to convince and direct the audience to respond in accordance with our desires, as I discovered this today. A thesis statement, a particular objective, or a general aim can all be used as the basis for a presentation. It is time to get started on the introduction, which is where you may bring attention to your main point. Problems and solutions should make up the majority of the body of the speech, and the audience should be able to envision it. We've covered a lot of ground in this article, and now it's time to wrap things up.
Class is over and she instructed us to begin writing our speeches and to list all of our themes on a Google document she provided.

After an exhilarating opening statement, we'll break into groups to brainstorm plans and suggestions for our upcoming public speaking session. As a follow-up, the teacher instructed each group to select a film or television series. It was our job to pique the kids' interest in the film or television show by verbal means. Natasha was thrilled to represent our group by presenting the Korean film "Sky Castle," which we had selected. All of the films were well-presented by the participants. This class taught me a lot about film analysis and, more significantly, about how to persuade others. We can have a good influence on society if we learn how to persuade.

Yes, we're down to our final day of public speaking. As time goes by, I've finished four semesters of presentation skills training in this wonderful learning environment. Several groups try again to get students to view a particular movie they've been urging them to see in the prior class. They were all excellent groups, according to the instructor. I've learnt that everyone has various tastes, some people don't like scary movies, and we can't compel someone to like what we like even if we persuade them to watch it (yeah, that's me!).
Class resumed after the film discussion with a class organised and led by the students. Chairperson of our class has been given the opportunity to lead the conversation. At the meeting, everyone was actively engaged and a lot of things were discussed and decided upon. In my case, the day's activities and games will be delegated to my team, as will those of the other groups. Additionally, each team is happy with the outcome and willing to assist in the smooth running of things going forward. At times, I was awed by the chair's coolness and leadership in the face of queries from other participants. In the not-too-distant future, we'll need to understand and apply yet another personality type.

We were all up bright and early that morning, getting ready to head to Dewan TM for the farewell ceremony. Before the game, everyone will eat a pre-game lunch. Various foodstuffs such pisang goreng, fruit, and lekor were purchased by each of the groups in attendance. My long-sought-after fried chicken didn't show up, but I still had a great time because of the tasty keropok lekor and the late spaghetti.
Our team's first impression was that the game session had begun after a substantial lunch. This week, everyone is jotting down their initial impressions of their new friends thanks in large part to Shuva! The deadly game is right around the corner, and it's an honour for me to pick up the mic once more to spread some joy to everyone.
Our chairman, Mr. Fazril, has concluded the game session and is now speaking to the group. Even though Mr. Fazril was worried, he maintained a confident posture and made his speech in a suitable tone. I was attracted to his presentation because of the greeting and the engaging introduction. In his address, he thanked everyone, and he showed his gratitude to the ladies in particular. Speaking with someone as inspiring as Mr. Fazril was an honour. Choosing a public speaking class as an introvert may not be easy, but we've gained self-assurance and useful speaking abilities. I hold Mr. Fazril in high regard for his abilities as a leader and as a professional.
In her last remarks, Madam wished us all the best and hoped us well for the future. In Madam's final presentation, she reminded me that the abilities and tactics we learn in public speaking will be useful in any field we pursue.
Finally, I hope this hilarious UNCLE CK is still fresh in everyone's mind. I'm glad to have met everyone in the class!
