Inaugural Speech as Student Representative Council
Assalamualaikum and very good morning, I bid to the indefatigable director, to all of our honourable guests and the enthusiastic staff and hard-working students of this University.
I am honoured and humbled to have this opportunity to deliver my speech. I want to start my address by expressing that I am very grateful to be elected to serve as the representative student council; this election was conducted in a very different way to many contests. I would also like to congratulate each candidate involved in this election where the positive message was widely promoted, and we engaged each other in serious discussion about the role for future of our university future. The biggest motivation for me in seeking the party's leadership is that I believe the tradition it represents has a unique and positive role in our University's future.
It's a privilege to have the honour, but I believe that I will be the perfect candidate to hold this position and be a leader to strive for our University to be one of the best Universities that mould world-class graduates for the future of our country. I promise to give my best to be an effective leader that you would be proud of in the University. Moreover, I will try my best to uphold and obey the law with the objective that to become a good example that you can look up to.
I want to share some of my strength to convince you why I am the perfect one to be here. First and foremost, I hadexperienced several aspects of leadership through mentoring and decision-making positions which I was elected to be the vice president of the student council when I was in secondary school. At that time, my role was to assist the student and coordinate the work of committees. My past experiences and years have more than prepared me for the challenges ahead. The lesson here, a leader is a communicator, an individualwith the ability to share their vision with those around them. They have a purpose, a goal they are dedicated to achieving through the inspirational motivation of their team. I believe I can lead my part as outstanding leadership and result in the empowerment of others to show, take the risk and develop new skills.
My vision is to promote collaboration and positive change for this University, such as will give opportunities to the student that promote personal and professional growth through organizations, activities and mentorship. This will encourage students to engage as active citizens through a mutually beneficial partnership that is still a pride in our campus and city.
To me, the role of a representative student council is more than a title but an opportunity to be an influencer in a positive way for the students and a leader that will uphold the rights and the welfare of students. I believe with all of my experience is enough to lead our honourable student into success. I have a quote that forever embedded in my heart which said by martin Luther king Jr which "a genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a moulder of consensus". I want to express my most enormous thanks to all of the students for showing your trust in me.
